Jitendra Gupta
Biography
Jitendra is the Founder and CEO of Jupiter.money (Amica Financial) where he aims to create a mobile-first banking experience for Indian millennials through developing savvy and cost-effective banking services while helping youth manage their money better.
Prior to Jupiter, Jitendra was the Founder of Lazypay, was the MD of PayU India, and the Founder of Citrus Pay, a leading digital payments company in India that was later sold to Naspers in Sept 2016 for US$130mm in one of the most successful fintech exits.
He has more than 16 years of work experience in banking and financial services and is considered an expert in the payments industry. Prior to Citrus, he was working with ICICI bank for 7 years, where he was part of the founding team of the retail cross-sell and investment banking division in the bank. During his last stint with the bank, he led the entire initiative of stitching a joint venture between ICICI and First Data in the Indian market. This was a unique JV ever done between a bank and an independent payments company.
Jitendra is a graduate from Sydenham College, Mumbai, and a qualified Chartered Accountant.
