Biography
Shakib Noori holds a Master’s Degree in International Economic Policy and Management from Columbia University and has been working for over fourteen years in the promotion of economic growth for Afghanistan. He has experience in various government and international institutions. Having served as Economic Counselor in the Embassy of Afghanistan in Washington DC and as a consultant at the World Bank HQ thereafter, Noori now serves as the CEO of Roshan Telecom owned Mobile Services Development Afghanistan Ltd, better known as M-Paisa.
M-Paisa is playing the leading role in digitalizing the financial sector in Afghanistan by providing mobile financial services to 95% of the unbanked population in the country. The goal of the organization is to combat corruption and encourage financial transparency
